Finnish telecommunication giant Nokia (NOK1V.HE) has appointed Rajeev Suri to lead the company after it sold off its iconic mobile phone business.
Suri, a 46-year-old Indian national, played a pivotal role in turning around the fortunes of the company as head of the Finnish corporate’s dominant division. Nokia Solutions and Networks.
The company has also unveiled plans to return $3.1 billion to shareholders via buybacks and extra dividends.
