SAN JOSE (CALIFORNIA): The Modi frenzy swamped the sprawling SAP Center in California on Sunday evening as nearly 19,000 Indians watched the masterly performer weave a spell with his trademark oratory and his radiant vision of India’s Century.
It was a captivating show in the heart of Silicon Valley, with music, dance and frenzied chants of ‘Modi, Modi’ filling the huge auditorium. And the leader of the world’s largest democracy didn’t disappoint them as he said with a prophetic tone: “They say the 21st century belongs to Asia, but the 21st century belongs to India.” The utterance triggered waves of jubilation from the rapturous crows, comprising the well-heeled Indian-Americans living in this mecca of technology and enterprise.
In his speech, the Indian leader spoke about his government’s myriad achievements and ongoing efforts to spark a digital revolution in the country to make governance easy, economical and effective.
He expounded on his script for national redemption pivoted by JAM – J-Jan Dhan financial inclusion program, A-Aadhar unique identity card M-Mobile Governance.
- “Today, across the world a new image of India has emerged. The old thoughts about India are going away. Your fingers created magic on the keyboard and the computer and this gave India a new identity. Your skill and commitment is wonderful”.
- Brain drain can become brain gain, did anyone ever think about this. That’s why I have a different outlook towards this. I see it as Brain Deposit, out to look for opportunities. When that comes this brain will give back to India with interests.
- We would hear- we need to stop this brain drain. But India is Bahuratna Vasundhara, there will be many brains there.
- Our Sikh brothers came here years ago & began living here. When Indian wanted freedom here too there was a movement for India’s freedom. Who can forget the contribution of the Ghadar Party in India’s freedom struggle.
- I am trying my best to live up to everyone’s expectations. Today, India is looked up to with hopes and dreams.
- The world now accepts that 21st century is India’s century.
- You are well aware of what’s happening around the world, which is why you stay updated on what’s happening in India.
- Who brought this change? This change was not by brought ‘Modi-Modi’, but 125 crore Indians. Today the world looks at India with hope and confidence
- India is the only nation which succeeded in its ‘Mars orbiter mission’ in just one attempt, look at commitment and capability of nation.
- E-Governance is easy, effective and economical governance
- The way technology has given a new strength and direction to entire World, we have also initiatited ‘Digital India’ acknowledging that.
- Today India is the fastest growing major economy in the world. Be it ‘World Bank’, ‘Moody’s’ or any other research agency, everyone is saying India is the fastest growing economy of the World.

- There is no thing called good terrorism or bad terrorism. There is no good terrorism and bad terrorism.
- On its 70th Anniversary UN must clarify who’s with terrorist & who stands with humanity.Picture must be made clear. We are harbingers of peace. We come from the land of Gandhi and Buddha.
- UN still hasn’t been able to define terrorism. If it will take so much time to define, how will we tackle it.
- Terror and global warming are two pressing issues the world faces. We need to mitigate these two menaces.
