Possible fidayeen attacks in Delhi, police on high alert

delhi-high-alertIndia’s security agencies have alerted the Delhi police of a possible “fidayeen” attack in the city being planned by the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad, after they received a note from one of the militants killed in Samba district of Jammu Kashmir last month.

The intelligence agencies have asked the Delhi police to remain on alert as they have received a note with “next we will meet in Delhi” written on it. The agencies have advised the Delhi police to take all the necessary preventive and precautionary measures in order to avoid any terror activity.

“JeM has plans to carry out terror attack in Delhi which may be similar to the fidayeen attack in Samba,” the advisory said.

Last month, four militants had infiltrated through Samba sector in Kashmir and had split into two groups. One group stormed into a police station and killed five people, while the other group was eliminated by the police.
